Words Outfit: burgundy dress | Crystal watched as more talents would come in and out with their assistants, crowding up the small makeup and fitting room. She truly hated hoards of people because it distracted her. She turned on her heels and walked towards the fitting area where lines of clothes hung on racks with the names of the artists on the plastics covering the clothes. Sometimes the people who were responsible for this lacked organization, resulting in the artists having to go through the whole rack to see if any of their items were missing. She did a quick check, spotting a bundle that had Anna's name hastily scribbled on a sticky note. Rolling her eyes at the obvious laziness of her colleagues, she would snatch the bundle of clothes, hangers and all, before the assistants would hoard around the space like goats.
She took the clothes back to where Anna was sitting, checking each item carefully and looking at the reflection of the mirror. Crystal needed to make sure that every part of her makeup went hand in hand with the clothes. Satisfied, she would put the clothes on the table and put away her many brushes, having taken up most of the table since nobody had been using it till now. "I don't speak any French" she had to admit truthfully. It had taken an arm and a leg for her to learn English and she had only began to have a near native grasp of it after 10 years of living in America. For her, learning a new language was like pulling teeth. "But you can be a translator!" she volunteered.
"I wouldn't mind at all!" she said genuinely. It was actually because her parents only spoke Japanese as well, and a very unique dialect that not even most Japanese people could understand. Crystal smiled at the thought of her parents, especially at her mother who would probably cook up a feast for Anna and her father who would drown her in alcohol. Her father did love a drink, little too much. "By the way, same goes for my family. Do you drink, Anna?" It would be hard to resist the overflowing hospitality from her father and if she didn't, Crystal was afraid she'd be in for a nasty surprise.
She stopped in mid conversation as one of the crew members for the photoshoot Anna was doing came over to her, signalling the time. Nodding her head, she would take the clothes on the table and hand it to Anna. She wanted to keep talking to her friend as Anna's family sounded very interesting. "Looks like we're out of time today. How about I text you and we can continue this over lunch or dinner?" Crystal took a piece of paper from her small memo pad and scribbled down her phone number, handing it to Anna. She really hoped they could go on a holiday together.

Unfortunately their time was up at this time. No doubt Crystal had to hop over to work on one of the others that had showed up way too late. Though if you were to ask them they would be just on time. When Crystal finished up her makeup and turned quickly Anna waited knowing she was going to grab her wardrobe for this shoot, making sure everything matched. That was just another thing she loved. Crystal was meticulous about stuff like that. It’s what made her one of the best.
She hadn’t expected her to speak French but then it wasn’t like she could speak Japanese either. “Just as long as you return the favor when I visit your home ok?” She did take the wardrobe from Crystal once she was done comparing it to the makeup. She had to shake her head when asked if she drank. “I actually don’t Is that going to be an issue?”
She had to sigh however, like Crystal said, they were out of time. “You know Crystal I think I would like that. Give us a chance to chat when everything's not chaotic.” Lunch or dinner would be great. Or even a breakfast. Really it all depended on the day but Crystal knew that. Her schedule was just about as chaotic as hers was.

Words Outfit: burgundy dress | Crystal merely turned and looked the other way as one of the other artists sat down next to Anna, waiting for his makeup artist to arrive. Because of the shortage of staff many have had to resort to using their own people to do the job. That was also probably for the better since every talent had their little quirks and they'd probably feel more comfortable with having their own people do the job. This particular artist was one of them, she knew, as she continued to talk to Anna. She almost completely ignored the growing number of people occupying the room.
“I actually don’t Is that going to be an issue?” Crystal heard the other girl ask. It wasn't particularly an issue per say, although her father might make it an issue for her. She was rather glad to have asked her friend before taking her to meet her family. Crystal remembered with a smile the last time she had brought someone to see her parents. Needless to say that person didn't make it out alive without drinking until the next morning. The alcohol consumption in her family was really getting to be a problem she'd happily address the next time she went back. "It's not a problem, Anna. But don't be scared if my father drinks till he either falls asleep or collapses. Let's just say he's a bit...weird and stubborn"
It was true. She loved her parents and loved spending time with them. But she really didn't like when they get drunk at parties and gatherings. It wasn't right for someone their age to be totally wasted, much less right for their health. She was sure Anna would like them and they'd like her. She just simply didn't want to scare the poor girl. "How about we talk more later? Let's go have dinner next week! Free uo a day for me, okay?" @anna |

Ahh ok that was good at least. Not to mention her giving Anna fair warning about her father. As for weird, well weren’t all families? Though she couldn’t say for certain about the stubborn part. “Umm… what’s your thought on snow. I’m not talking the flurries we get here. I’m talking… thick deep.” It’s not like it was that far away. Her family actually lived rather close for the most part. Especially if you flew. “You’ll need your passport.”
She nodded when Crystal asked about them talking more later. “Sounds like a great plan!” Though she wasn’t sure how well she could free p a day but she would do her best. Crystal would understand that. And in theory she would be able to.
Unfortunately their time was just about up. Crystal had just about all of her touch ups finished. Applying the wardrobe was up to her. Now if they worked on some sort of sci fi show that had aliens, chances are make up would be involved in a bit more of the wardrobe. “I think I’m free monday still. Talk to you later in the week to make sure?”
