Smoking the fattest blunt you had in your lifetime had it's consequences.
One of them being mass paranoia, and Mike? He was 100% sure he was legit dying right now from....what the hell, who knew. Something. He was DYING! He could feel it in his chest his heart going plunky-plunkedy-plunk, and that was sooo not good.
So what would any sensible person do? Call their ex wife, of course, and explain in his last breaths that he was dying.
Except that it went straight to voicemail and he wasn't about to leave a message with his dying words. No, he needed some help or something. 911? Not even a thought in his mind at the moment. He scrolled through his contact list, trying to call Paul, but mistakenly dialing a former student of his and semi-friend that he sometimes saw on the set-- William.
When the other end picked up, Mike didn't give him a chance to even say hello.
His dramatically line clenched the air, "I'm pretty damn sure I'm dying right now, unless I'm already dead, and this is hell. Jesus Christ....is that---is this? How long have I been dead???"
Though the man on the other line couldn't see him at all, he was at the moment slouched on his bed, tie loose and nearly off his body but it hadn't quite made it. Yes, in fact, he was wearing a suit primarily because he had been to lazy to change out of it and he was one of the strange people in the world who thought suits were fairly comfortable. He paid no heed to the fact that it was 8'oclock at night because dying only happened once in a lifetime anyhow. He'd call if it was 3am for god's sake!

William was at his second job, sitting at the fire station with his co-workers just waiting for a call to respond to. It was about dinner time, so they had come in to grab a quick bite to eat while waiting. Their meal had been eaten up and they were just sitting around a table with some of the fire fighters just catching up and having a good time. After all with some of the things he saw as an EMT, the lightheartedness was good. Plus here he could just be one of the guys. It was nice to not be the tv star for once. Especially as he wanted to do more than just act. He wanted to help people. That's why he had become an EMT and why he was still putting himself through classes to try and be a doctor.
Then his phone buzzed and he saw who was calling and found it quite strange. Michael was his former teacher and the guy he occasionally talked with at the studio. why would he be calling at this time in the evening. He picked up and before he could get his name out of his mouth, Mike was rambling about how he was dying or something. Well this was very very weird. William managed to get in, "Okay, slow down. Why do you think you are dying Mike?" Sure he wasn't sure how far Mike was away from the station, but he supposed he was actually in a decent spot to help the guy out if he was actually dying. But who knew what was going on.
